Providing Healthcare for the Community
Tower Health Street Medicine Clinic
Everyone deserves access to quality healthcare; it’s not just a privilege. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Tower Health Street Medicine to hold monthly clinic hours at New Journey Community Outreach. They provide free healthcare services for individuals and families facing homelessness, poverty, or any challenges accessing traditional medical care.
Tower Health Street Medicine
Bringing Healthcare Where It’s Needed Most
Tower Health Street Medicine is a devoted program within the Tower Health system that provides primary care, preventive services, and urgent health support directly to those who need it most. Their medical team, which includes doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and social workers, focuses on meeting patients where they are, offering understanding and support without any judgment.
Tower Health and New Journey Community Outreach create a safe environment in a space patients are familiar with to receive care, ask questions, and take charge of their health without worrying about costs or stigma.
Why This Partnership Matters for Our Community
Breaking Down Barriers to Care
For many facing financial hardships and homelessness, going to a doctor’s office isn’t an option. Barriers can include transportation, financial and insurance barriers, and lack of trust in hospitals.
The Tower Health Street Medicine Clinic hours at New Journey Community Outreach changes this by:
- Providing local access in the heart of Reading, PA
- Offering free services regardless of income, insurance, or immigration status
- Reducing ER visits by addressing health issues early
- Connecting patients to additional social services
This holistic approach not only helps improve health outcomes but also builds trust and strengthens our community one patient at a time.
